I had planned to have a walk up Dungoil and Holehead today but there was forestry work going on at Dungoil so it was on to the reserve plan of Hart Hill, Cringate Law and Earl's Hill. I am having to take on short, easy hills just now as I'm still waiting to hear since March from the NHS (understandably) for my knee surgery date - one is decidedly 'suspect'!
I drove up the
very minor road just past Todholes to reach the start of a track over Cringate Muir to the Earlsburn reservoir. From this track, I walked up rougher ground towards the summit of Hart Hill.

I could see the windfarm road heading round to Cringate Law so, rather than risk the direct route over rough ground, I just strolled round to reach the 397 summit, enjoying the views over Meikle Bin on the way

I retraced my steps, turning off to the most easterly outlying turbine and then followed a wet ATV track down to the reservoir track and then back out to the car.
I drove a couple of kms up the road to walk up the track to the cluttered summit of Earl's Hill with good views over to the Ochil Hills. An easy 25 minutes up and down to complete the day.
