First, we left Edinburgh 8am, drove via Callendar and set off from Invercharnan just before 10.30am. Did not go into a shop or petrol station etc; drove back via Loch Lomond assuming it would be quiet but Falls of Falloch car park stowed out. I guess some walkers stayed home, some avoided contact and others carry on as normal. No two humans are the same.

Second, this is likely an easy walk in the summer but just now there is snow up top and the last 0.5km to 1km includes a steep section of 25m or so - therefore go equipped and be prepared. We watched a couple descending the steep section and they were not comfortable. Saw three other people from a distance who looked like they had come from Creran past Sgulaird. That was it for humans all day.

So, first key point, there is now a new track that avoids the need to cut through the buildings. The start is a gate next to the bridge where the wee car parking area is. 4km of forestry track then turn left to cross a burn where there are some makeshift bridges. The you head up following a track that is not too tricky to follow. Currently the bog factor is quite low but it must be fund after rain in the summer with plenty of clegs and "the midge".
This takes you up between Point 841 and the 598m hump on its left. then you head up Point 841 with a bit of traverse towards Beinn F then up the ridge to the top. There's a bit of a plateau on the top so cover both rock outcrops if you're not 100% certain which is the top.

We had planned to do Sgurr na h-U as well but you'd be retracing our steps and starting back up again from 400m or so; the kids reminded me it was mother's day so maybe head back early and get some time with mum (who had opted for a quiet day on her tod). Plus we had our wee dog and she struggles past 15km. Lost our big dog ten days ago, he made 185 munros with the boy and me, we miss him awfully and will take his ashes on #282 when we get there. Beautiful weather yesterday as was Friday and Saturday, best few days of 2020 so far and shame covid-19 is making things difficult.
Be safe everyone !!!!
