I was camping very local to these two fells and, having not climbed either before, felt that walking up them before I moved on would be a good idea. In the event they took much less time than I'd anticipated, but they are pleasant short walks.

Great Mell Fell from my campsite (after I'd climbed it in thick mist!)

Unfortunately, early morning mist didn't clear until I had been up and down the fell, so I saw very little at all. It was a short and easy walk, but one to do again when I can see where I'm going!

Little Mell Fell

The sun having broken through, I decided to try my luck with Little Mell Fell. Much better!

Another pleasant, short and easy walk. Most suitable for a gentle, rest day or morning's walk with the kids.
