The ( extended ) Route:Last time I climbed Ben Wyvis it was November 2015, in Winter - snowy conditions, Ice and strong wind on the top.......added also Little Wyvis on the way back...
This time with my daughter Cheyenne in a beautiful Summer day, happy for her as she got the views and conquered her Munro no.5
As expected, the car park was full as Ben Wyvis is a popular mountain to climb, no far from Inverness, weekend - saturday, summer day in great weather and less people in abroad holidays...It was busy on the track, but somehow we managed to enjoy the summit for ourself only ! The Movie: Cheyenne's another Munro, her excitement, happiness and views ! Some Photos ( more in the video ):
- The start ( not for us that day ) point
- classic view - the initial walk...
- Refreshment break with views !
- Higher up !
- nearly there...
- Cheyenne's Munro no. 5 !
- Descending...
- Back on the bottom...
- Looking back...once again
- Good to know the temperature...in the shadow !
- walking back on the road as the car park was totally full as expected in summer, weekend, nice weather and less people on abroad holidays
- finally...thought is our car...but it was a sauna !
............................................................................................................................................................................It was our family holiday week...started on monday by climbing Scafell Pike, the highest mountain of England in Lake District...video here:
After two rainy days following by relaxing and short nearly local walk on thursday...video here:
then finally weekend in the Highlands - two days in Dingwall. Climbing Ben Wyvis on saturday and then great day out in Highland Wildlife Park on the way back home on sunday...video here:
We did not get the best weather for all week, but planned our trips shortly before by the weather forecast and enjoyed the good weather days fully, resting and planning in the rainy days between ...maybe a short holiday, but really great family time together in the outdoors !
