Loch Achaidh na h-Inich from Balmacara

We did this walk on a dull and drizzly day (30 March 2009). Pleasant enough on the outward leg with some attractive woodland and then a well-renovated path over the moorland section before you drop down to the loch shore. Worthy of three stars up to this point. Unfortunately the following section around the farm and along the forestry road is rather lacking in interest and it is only the final downhill return through the mature plantation when things improve. I'd recommend the excellent Sheila's Cafe in Bamacara Square to finish.
No problem with the detailed trip notes which were very accurate. I'd be interested to know if you can detour to the top of Auchtertyre Hill from the highest point reached on this circuit or whether it's best approached by another route.
