That was a brilliant report. Thanks for sharing defeat - a lot of lessons learnt - and not being afraid to tell the truth. You still got some very impressive views. It's amazing to see how much more snow has fallen since I was in that area on the 29th January! Here is the bridge before the Derry flats as it appeared on that day...

You know it's a good report when it involves no summits but is still an enjoyable read :D . Seeing all that snow is like being transported to another world - not been out the central belt in a while and it's easy to forget that it's still winter in much of Scotland. Thankfully I have to work most Saturday mornings so can't entertain such fanciful notions as hiking to a remote Cairngorm bothy in the dark... in winter... with a dog to look after :lol: .
