L decided to go go gliding so accompanied him. Set off from the club and this time decided to actually look at the spring in Scotlandwell that gives it its name.
There's a grate over the spring itself. It's actually quite interesting and the way the water bubbles up out of the rock is slightly spooky. It looks almost like something is alive since the sediment in the pool all moves about. Headed on up to Bishop from there and took my usual route off going along the craggy bit past all the old quarries. It's much less busy and you get some nice airy views. Stopped for a long lunch and watched some kestrels.
- Looking towards what I think is Schiehallion
From there headed round to the Carlin. found that if you just keep going alomg by the side f the fence instead of going straight up to the top of Bishop then you get a really good view of the Witch.
- The Carlin
From there went up to the top of Bishop itself.
- West and East Lomond from the top of Bishop.
Weather started looking gloomy, with specks of rain so did not hand about too long. Contemplated going S from the top but the field was full of cows and I am a scaredy so went round the edge to the 3 way sign post. Decided to carry on down for a bit to get a better view of the reservoir and the Forth looking along the Fife coast
and then headed back up and over to White Craigs and from there just took the usual route back.
