The car park at Arrochar was very busy with wardens hovering so first challenge was to find a space in town. Midgies were also prevalent at the start so I was glad I had put the trousers on! The girls had already made a start so myself Mike and Richard started the ascent at a reasonable pace to try and catch up.
Once we joined up we started the first ascent, Benn Ime. Having successfully reached the summit the weather had changed making visibility poor so we did not hang around descending and the weather began to improve which allowed for stunning views at the summit of Beinn Narnain. The rest of the group decided to descend down the rocky route whilst I came back the way I had climbed as I planned to finish with the cobbler which allowed for more great views.
The descent was a bit of a drag but having heard later about the difficult terrain the others experienced I was quite glad of my option.
Another great day out and returned home for a well earned dinner.
