Saturday the alarm went of 5am out of bed 5.15 piece made rucksack checked getting picked up at 6 by Alec and bear the rowttie. Away we go to the Drumochter hills CARN NA CAIM and A’BHUIDHEANACH BHEAG.

Got to the lay bye number 87 at 8.15 got ready in the jeep we put everything on then away we go 8.30 walked along the road to the road up the quarry followed the track to the right after about 5mins alec said this is no the path looked at the hills could see the land rover track further up awe well straight up the heather then away we went 10 minutes later on the track the snow started not heavy so we plodded on to the scrap in the ground that is the quarry.

We decided to go to A’BHUIDHEANACH BHEAG first, the wind was starting to pick up a bit couldn’t see much as the wind was whipping up the snow into our faces so i thought lets try my new goggles put them on fantastic could see now reached ABB at 11am took some photos didn’t stop away we went followed our route back down to the Bealach needed a cup of double mocha coffee fond a nice wee spot out of the snow and wind Alec got the stove on ahhh nice and hot 10 minutes later away we went.

Heading for CARN NA CAIM now spotted 5 other walkers had a wee chat wi the group then away we go the wind was blowin hard now the dog wasn’t liking it much her face was covered in ice kept on cleaning it off every couple of mins or so every now and again the snow clouds would clear out wi the camera rattle of some pic’s, Checked the gps every 10 mins or so because we coudn’t see much thought about turning back and leaving CARN NA CAIM for another day said to alec its your call because its you dug haha decided to carry on we hit the summit at 13.20 once again quick photos the headed down had a nice walk down on the heather next to the land rover track which by now was level with snow back at the jeep for 3pm headed down the A9 for the two and a half hr drive.

A think wee went the right way through the big gate up to the shed instead of going straight on wee went right along the bottom path/road if you know what i mean passed the works van then thats when we just went right up the heather to the track :?
