Big long ridge walk undertaken over 3 days in Glen Affric climbing 2650m.
Parked up at Chisholme Bridge after the long drive up on Monday 14th and walked up the track a few km up onto a sholder of TollCreagach to camp.

Woke on the 15th to a sea of midges....packed and ran up to get into a breeze. Once off of the steep heathery slopes the climb wasn't too back and the summit soon reached with great views of the Loch Mullardoch Munros.

Now back to camp in the belach between Carn Eige and Mam Sodhail. Uncomfortable and noisey thanks to the rutting stags, but great views.

Next day up to Mam Sodhail......

......and on along the ridge via Belach Corie Ghaidheil to An Socach before dropping down past Loch Corie nan Dearcag for the thankless long ridge walk of Mullach na Dheiragain.

and then back up the great NE ridge of Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan to the summit.

Camping on the E ridge before the ball achingly dull, spirit crushing hike out back to the car.

Aye...t'was magic! And that was 'as the crow flies' so was probably a little more. Great walk...ridges nearly all the way. Was stinking afterwards though...a nicer shower I have not had

ouch... from Socach to Mullach na Dheiragain... and back again to Ceathreamhnan....!
I prefer the camp spot on the other side of Mam Sodhail, by the old OS building...
fantastic area though and especially the hike from Tom a'Choinich to Carn Eige...
did you find the hidden stairs up Sron Garbh....?

Ouch indeed, the dog was wasted every night!
ah, is that what that building is.....we did wonder. What was it an old survey building?
As for the stairs, well I think we did, I commented that we were walking up some steps and I knew there was some, but if it was 'the stairs' then I would say there was only 15-20 of them, but they were perfectly made.
