www.mwis.ork.uk = sunshine spells with 80% chance of cloud free munro's, must take advantage of that I thought :D

so up nice early to meet my lift (StevieM) and Glencoe bound in the dark.

Nice quiet roads meant we arrived ahead of time to meet Stuart (Scoob999) at 7.45am at the already busy car park.

Kitted up, cup of tea and off we went on our merry way at 8.20am.

Stuart with his new found S.O.D  Stevie with his new jacket  and me with my borrowed moon boots

There are many great reports for this walk already, so I will let the photo's do the talking....

1. the sky towards Glen Etive as we parked at 7.45am.JPG

It was a relentless climb and I think we were all feeling it but we quickly gained height and just over an hour later we had reached the col.
2. Me at the bealach with Glen Etive behind and Stob na Broige to the left.JPG

no hanging about, straight up the steep path and we were soon at Munro No.1 for the day.

5. Buachaille Etive Mor from the summit of Stob Coire Raineach.JPG

8. ascending the summit of Stob Dubh.JPG

9. looking back along the ridge to Stob Coire Raineach.JPG

10. this way to the second summit.JPG

11. me with Bidean Nam Bian in the background.JPG

a nice walk up a steep snowy hill with no need for crampons! :D
12. last little (but exposed lol) climb.JPG

and just more than an hour leaving the previous summit we are reach our 2nd summit of the day :D
13. me at the summit of Stob Dubh looking towards Loch Etive.JPG

Sorry guys. My mistake in posting the Wee Bookil vid on the Glenshee report. Not paying attention.
Anyway, the previous clip shows Stuart and Neil summiting Stob Coire Raineach.
Back to bed now I think

Gary was missed

Before yesterday I used to go out almost regardless of forecast, within reason obviously but from now I will be keeping a closer eye to try when possible to keep the good yins for the best days. It definitely makes a difference :D

Getting the good days is the hard bit though :?

nice one :D
however
grrrrrrrrrr

I climbed this the previous day and the weather was somewhat poorer i.e totally clagged in

we only did the higher Munro as we did need crampons in the slightly icier terrain
at least my walking companion (different one from Sunday) will have an excuse to return to do the other Munro

did you see a pair of black gloves by any chance
as i left mine where I stopped to put my ice axe away

I made up for it on the Sunday by doing Stob Coire Odhar whilst my walking companion did the second Munro of that pair (Stob Ghabhar) -
