Well this one was a wonderful walk fantastic clear blue skys as you can see from the pictures. Had a great days walking. One thing I would say though the bog between calf cragg and steel fel would of been hard going but for the frosty conditions.

Yes all three of us made it to the top, I'm not good with coming back down though, so i'm still up there with my lap top lol. Joking aside I'm not always good with heights but this wasn't to bad

Thats always a great walk to do and, what a day, some brilliant photos :thumbup:

Have also done a version of the walk by catching the bus to the top of Dunmail and going up Steel Fell, then coming back down via Helm Crag :D

Not sure about the weather very strange, although I think clear frosty days are part of the british winter, it has been very mild

Next time on Helm Crag I'm definitely doing the Howitzer, always missed it before.
