Birnam Hill, Birnam, in the afternoon

After doing Deuchary Hill in the morning it was too early to go home so decided to stop off in Birnam to climb to the Kings Seat. I left from Birnam, walking up past the firestation where waymarked signs lead you up Birnam Hill. It's a steep climb but you gain height quickly and forty minutes took me to the summit. I was going to head back down the way i came but as it was a nice day and didn't take long to get to the summit i opted to do the circular route. A very nice hill walk.

There looks to be a good coating of windmills away in the distance I envy you guys who can complete a walk then after the warmth and comfort of a few miles in the car they can stop and do it all again....I can't bring myself to do that

Normally once i'm in the car thats me till i get home but it was such a good day i had to take advantage of it

Thanks Morag and i'd go for Deuchary first, it was the best of the two, no contest in my opinion

Nice to see some Sub2000ft Marilyn reports appearing on WH.
Good couple of hills - Deuchary and Birnam, especially Deuchary.
The path up Birnam looks like it has had some work done to it in the past year.

This is a brill wee hill to breack up the A9 boredom . Nice and steep so all the right muscles get a proper workout even in a short time.
