At the end of the public road along Loch Venachar there is a car park, this is where i started the walk. I followed the track which is The Rob Roy Way up to the small Lochan where it continues along the side of the Lochan I had thought about staying on it but decided to climb over all the tops of The Monteith Hills. There were quite a few humps to negotiate before coming the 400m summit of Craig of Monievreckie where a trig point marks the summit. From the summit i headed back the way i came but only to the first hump where i made my way down towards the forest, keeping to the edge of it and finally picking up the Rob Roy Way to the Lochan and back to the finish.

Johnny,

That looks like a cracking wee walk. I think I'll keep that one in mind if I manage a sneaky half day off  :shh:
