This walk was full of surprises, Didn't expect the glorious weather or the heat inversion and certainly didn't expect the climb up the chimney. Perhaps we took a wrong turn somewhere it just got steeper and steeper, great fun but perhaps not the wisest choice.

looking back to red screes from middle dodd

After a lengthy stop on the summit of red screes taking in the fantastic views we walked down onto middle dodd in clear skys and warm sunshine the back up and round to little hart crag on the way back down into the vally via high hartstop dodd the weather began to change for the worse. The last leg of the round trip was the trudge back up the pass to the car I've got to admit a little cheat here we actually got a lift up the road which we were both very greatful for.

Great stuff Chris, the chimney may not have been the wisest choice but it made for some great photos  that shot looking down onto middle dodd is a beauty :D
