Another early start up at 5.10 got pickup wi Alec 6am it was a nice easy drive up to glenshee to do Glas Tulaichean,Carn an Riegh and Beinn Lutharn Mhor.parked up at the Dalmunzie Hotel payed the £2 parking and of we go 8.20 it was a cracking morning no wind clear skies, the path up to GT was a wee bit slippy/icy but no probs.

We got to the summit 2.30hrs from leaving the jeep the views up here was superb 360 panorama view

had our lunch then spent a good 30/40 mins taking in the views

then we set of for Carn an Righ you could see it no bother we decided to head down a hundred yards or so then make a b-line straight for the path on the side of Mam Nan Carn walked along the path got to the bealach dumped the sacks and headed up Carn an Righ straight forwared up and down

At this point the mist started to roll in

didn't stay long on the summit headed back down and got a pic of a ptarmigan

pickup the rucksacks then thats when the problems started looked at the GPS looked at Mam Nan Carn we seen the path to go round, i said just back the way we came ok Alec said so away we went talking and slipping in the snow after about 20 mins check the gps AWE NO were on the wrong path Alec was right should have taken the left path at the bealach F*&*%HELL zoomed the gps out F*&% ME up and over Mam Nan Carn, AWE WELL LETS GO what a bloody climb that was 10 steps then stop for air and the same again and again ti we topped out the day was going magic till then that mistake cost us about 50 mins plus the legs were burnning like hellfire the mist was in for the rest of the day so down we go to the bottom of Beinn Lutharn Mhor dropped the rucksacks of up and down in 35 mins

Headed to skirt round Mam Nan Carn, second mistake went to high up Mam Nan Carn i though no probs we will pick up the route when we get round a bit to the loch nan Eun by now my mind was mince couldn't fathom which way to go i could see the loch but it wasn't registering wi me put the gps to 50 mtr 20 steps left thats no the way 50 steps right that looks like it then down to the loch another 40 mins arsing about

just noticed in the picture that the mist had cleared got to the top of the corrie for our way home

thats a long way down and steep at the start by now my back was breaking legs was on fire but the spirit was fine especially when we saw a golden eagle soaring high above the hills then further down the glen a herd of dear

Superb effort again guys. Thats a big walk in the conditions. Weather looks tremendous. Nice of you to add an extra ascent just for the hell of it.

Have done similar walk- without C-a-R, left Tulaichean and headed up the front of M-n-C heading for Beinn Iutharn Mhor

fab. these are some I hope to do as a mum-dad-daughter effort, perhaps including an Socach and a camp. We'll see what the weather's like in June half term

Thereis a fine 2 day circuit that can be done from Inverey including carn bhac also..

You boys are fairly racking them up at the moment. 28k in winter is a big big day.
