Date walked: 29/02/2012

Time taken: 4.42 hours

Distance: 18.41 km

Ascent: 907m

A day out myself planned it lastnight checked the MWIS not much views cloud base low at around 700mtr but dry atleast :D Got to the carpark just before Kenknock farm

am the only one there so set off at dead on 9am straight forward walk to the ford crossing hope i can get across it :lol:

no bother so head up the landrover track pass the lubchurran cottage

lovely cottage
the landrover track goes to the shoulder of Beinn Cheathaich but i left the track a wee bit earlier which i think wouldnt save you much time.

Anyway found A nice big boulderto sit next to and get out of the wind had my lunch here

Headed along to Meall Glas but made a mistake by droppoing to low about 50mtrs into Creag Dhubh checked gps and i was right so headed straight up to the summit

The only highlight of the walk was this wee bird which keept on following me on the way down the path

Unlucky with the views.

Are they difference with Ford, River or Burn.

Havnt seen one of those birds while on the hills

Nice wee jaunt. Good time for the distance as well. I was out yesterday & had the same view from a different summit :lol:

Shame about the cloud on the summit. Your wee bird is a snow bunting. Not that common, so well done with the picture.

Cheers for that mike i took about 20 picture's of it but it was just out of my zoom range then it just sat there if to say this is your last chance to snap me :lol:

I've seen that view quite a bit from summits. It allways gives you a good feeling though, knowing you've managed to navigate your way to the summit in clag :thumbup: The biggest problems getting back down the same way :D

I was going to do the corbett as well but the clag was to much, so just came back the same way.
