) and we were on the go for half 8.Meant to climb beinn a chaorainn first but missed the gap in the trees so just went for beinn teallach first.Stream crossed without incident we were soon onto the hillside and into the clag. Got to the top in about an hour and a half with nothing much to see, except 2 cairns which looked about the same height so visited both and began the drop to the bealach. The sun threatened to burn through now and again but it never really did and we had a wee break at the cairn near Tom Mor. Then back up to beinn a choarainn, quite a bit of a slog up here ,about 400 metres to get to the ridge, this would have been the best part of the day if the cloud had lifted. We could make out the steep drops to our left and kept well away from the big cornices hanging over the crags. A quick picture was taken before our descent when joy of joys the snow came on,so never seen much on the way down either. That was to change though as we got down to the forest again and lo-and behold the skies cleared and the sun came out, typical. Found the gap in the trees this time and waded through back to the forest track. Had hardly stopped till we got back to the picnic bench at the car park when jim cheered me up by bringing out today's grub-Cheeseburgers without the cheese. So in the glorious sunshine we got the stove out cooked our cheese-less burgers and reflected on what might have been.If we had had set out a bit later we may well have enjoyed great views from one of the hills at least but thats the way it is ,still got plenty of hills in this neck o the woods ,we shall return!
Jim was in charge of catering(cheeseburgers with a twist
