Got a text of nobabody on tuesday night are we going tomorrow (wednesday) i was still abit stiff ( in ma legs
) from the walk on monday. So hurried to get ma gear together scot was driving another break for me magic see you at 6am
Up the road no bother well apart from the big stag that just about ran infront of us at the bridge of orchy OHHHH it was close that would have wiped the car out and us probably
Driving through glencoe was magical all the tops with there white scarfs on we mist The turn for marmore lodge a quick turn then up the single track away we set of at 8.30am
up the track then skirtted round the stalkers cottage not much to say about the walk in but it was enjoyable we mist the cairn that marks the start of the climb going to far on the lochside,so just went sraight up till we hit the path 10 mins maximum once on the RIGHT path just followed till the other wee cairn at the 705mtr mark you can carry on round the path to the back of the hill if you want but the path round there is steep.
- the right path
- waterfall in Alt Coire Eilde Mor
- Blackwater reservoir in the back ground
So we set off up the zig-zag path steep but good going we hit a bit of snow on the way up started to go over it but scot slipped on his arse
at the start of the snow so we skirted round it it felt like 30minutes or so and we were on the flatter bit of the hill that was at 920mtr then it was a nice walk to the cairn wich sends you to Binnein Mor sat at the cairn and had a banana and some juice.Started the walk along the ridge not that SCARY but the clag hid the drops most of the time
- the ridge
plus the wind had calmed down which wasn't that bad to start with it could be a bit hairy if the wind was blowing though
made the summit
- summit Binnein Mor
moved 10 feet of the summit to have our lunch and a blether about the walk so far the conclusion was magic so far even in the clag sat for 20 mins and of we went back across the ridge and the wind picked up still ok got back to the cairn and set of for Na Gruagaichean lovely ridge walk this would be
after about ten mins the clag started to lift not much but enough
- scot wi crags
- look back along the ridge to BM
After what seemed like no time we were on the pull up the summit of Na Gruagaichean about 50ft from the summit this was there
only 15ft away and it never moved till we moved nice. up to the summit
- summit Na Gruagaichean
Only stopped to take one pic then of picked our way through the boulders didn't take long then walk down till we hit the edge of Leachd na H-Aire.Turned NW down the Uillt an Ruigh Bhric
- way down
Me with the majestic Aonnach Eagach Ridge in the back ground
Made our way down the steep coire slipping and sliding on our arse's a goog few times
- pano of the A.E.R
- loch leven
we hit the deer fence and followed it till the sheep pen and went through the gate back down the track to the car it was a magic day even in the CLAG
