Gael Charn...a cracker of a day for my 2nd munro

So it was time to tackle my second munro....aaahahaha i here u say.
Well actually Dave (pigeon) had planned a lovely weekend in Newtonmore..Hotel, meal, drinks...you get the picture xxx
He dropped the bombshell of doing this munro on Thurs night...well i had to say yes (with a lot of hesitation
We were well behaved on Friday night a nice meal and off to bed oh and a a few drinks too ( forgot about that)
Headed for Laggan around 9;30 am as Pigeon had arranged to meet Ian and the famous hill bagger dog Jake.

We set of at 10 am at a brisk pace..over heather boggy ground..thanks for the Gaitors Pigeon..a nice wee present??
Had to stop a couple of times...are we there yet.....

I was glad to get out of the muck as this was slowing me down and i wasn't wanting to hold back the boys and Jake!

Met a couple of guys from Falkirk on their waydown..chatted for a wee while and got this burst of energy and sprinted to the top (or so i thought)....Pigeon was happy to point out that the cairn was miles away..ohhhhh well
It was flat ground all the way , the sun was shinning, t shirt weather...should have taken the bikini

easy peasy now though

I made it to the cairn....it was like conquering Everest..what an achievemnt i said...it was for me.

Just like to say thanks to Dave (pigeon) Ian and Jake for helping me get to the top and back down (god my legs were aching)Also thanks to the 2 Edinburgh guys we met at the top,talking to them took my mind of my sore legs

What a cracking weekend we had and YES folks its probably one of the easiest Munros to do but it was a hard one for me
the beginner.
I wonder what my 3rd will be ??? answers on a post card please hahahahah

Well done, sounded quite an achievement I did this a couple of weeks ago for my 100th with some others hills tagged on, and I didnt find the ascent up there easy.. The pull across the glen to begin with is strength sapping
Good job you got decent accommodation sorted because my wild camping was a bad idea as it turned out
