Today we parked at Glenmore lodge and set off towards Ryvoan making good time and not stopping until we got up to (site of) Bynack stables where he got the map out to check which path we were going to take. Not sure he got it right but we were soon heading into the mist.
The final pull up onto Bynack More was quite interesting with the gentle Cairngorm slopes being replaced by craggy granite and today a smattering of snow. We found the summit cairn but didn't hang around for long as the snow was blowing.
we descended the way we came but I had to show him the way across to the Carn Bheadhair. Rough hags and deep heather made for rough going but we made it.

we got a great view of the Eastern side of Bynack More too as we looked back. Not a side of the hill that you see too often.
The slopes onto Carn Bheadhair were very gentle and as the weather improved and we enjoyed some delightful sunshine and views North towards Nethy Bridge and had a possible glimpse of the Fords of Avon refuges.
At the top shared a sandwich and a piggy pie
before jumping through the deep heather on the long way back to Ryvoan and the track home.
Lovely day out today with snow and sunshine.
