Short report for a short walk. Garreg Lwyd (Moel Gornach)

Start point is a few miles north of Brynamman on the A4069 grid ref SN732188 Garreg Lwyd is the most western hewitt in the Brecon Beacons. It is a very short walk to the summit with its very large cairn at its summit. So if you are in the area and want to bag a hewitt and have an hour to spare this must be the easiest one to bag.

I was there on Sunday - with only an hour to spare....

It was also a bit of an excuse to test out my dodgy foot, which worked ok I'm glad to say.

As a trip report all I could really say it was short, cold & damp. However the cloud did lift and I could see the sea!
The views are probably pretty good on a nice day.

As you say, it has a very large cairn.

I'm going to remember this....as a man with 0 Hewitts to his name it would be an easy catch if I'm ever in the area, cheers WW
