Cruachan Horseshoe x 2 Munros

Completed the Cruachan Horseshoe route with Kyle(6 yrs old). What a day, beutiful blue skies, then snow followed by clouds. Me, Kyle and Marley thouroughly enjoyed a tough day. It has re-kindled my love for the hills after some years away! Met a few like minded characters along the way. Bring on the next one.

Hiya guys.....

Did wonder if you might be in here..... kudos to Kyle for getting all the way round ages before me, I gave up trying to go at your pace and didn't get down till after 6.30 pm and I was fair scunnered to say the least. A cracking day out even if I need an adrenalin boost to get onto the first ridge from Cruachan to Stob Diamh. A 900 ft drop at the side of a snowy 2ft ledge sure makes you tread carefully.

Think I did well to duck away from Kyle's snowball throws as well............

Will get my own report done later on.....

Aye that was me.... the perennial tail that wags the dog. Beaten by a 6 yr old on a stonking hard munro....

As for Sunday it was a mixed response, some went home, 4 went to do the next 2 munros and I decided to lounge around in Oban resting up and reading the papers. Didn't think my legs would have carried me up another 2 but the guys that went up reckoned I'd have been ok. Just need to do them another fine day....

Hope Kyle has been bragging to his schoolmates and teachers............
