Valerie, myself, Scoob999, Gavin99, Radman, Hayley and Ritchie all enjoy a great day on the hill :D :D

It was almost 30 years ago that I first planned climbing these two munros. Myself and two school friends Roy and Alec had walked through from the Linn of Dee to Kingussie camping out a night on route just above the top of Glenfeshie. We then settled at the Youth hostel for a night and I remember we were delighted to be served a pint in the local pub, where as Alec who was oldest had to settle for a coke. We were 15ish and Alec was 16.....great the life achievements that stick best in your mind

Anyway whilst savouring our beers, we devised a plan to catch the Fort William bus the following day and get off at Fersit, where we would climb these two summits before heading west catching all the munros between Stob Coire Easain and the hostel in Glen Nevis. A grand and mighty plan that has still to be accomplished to this day. (By the way we stayed on the bus all the way to Fort William because of the rain and ended up in the pub again. Anyway it was a great mission for us boys at the time....... )

So it was the 14th April 2012 and I am back on track heading for 'this yin and that yin', at long last. The Easter break this year has been a cracker starting with the Meet up in Kintail that for us involved the Sisters, the Brothers and the trio above Loch Cluanie. Now a welcome return to Fersit saw Valerie, Ritchie and I accompied by now great friends Gavin and Scoob heading for the prow of Meall Cian Dearg and the ridge above. The walkhighlanders meet continues ... and we ended up sharing our day too with more friends Radman and Hayley who just happened to be passing by :D :D

Very happy walkers (mind you we experienced a few hail flurries and it was very cold when stopped for more than a minute or two.)

Not a huge drop but still an impressive steep climb lay ahead.

What a view to the northwest showing the corbetts Sgurr Innse and Cruach Innse. I will be looking now for more than just the munros between here and Glen Nevis, that's for sure :)

The home leg begins, retracing our steps this day, but what a glorious and rewarding place to share together :)
DSCN7118.JPG
We all meet up with Radman making impressive progress up the mountain. What a nice surprise and we learn that Hayley is making her way back down from the first summit. So Radman continues on up to his second summit as we continue to descend and we all agree that we'll likely meet for the lower part of the hill.

Magic stuff!!!

One happy group of walkers looking for the best route down to the loch for a little variation on the way back to the cars.

It was a real nice surprise to bump into you lot so soon after the Kintail meet.
It was great banter and made the walk in a breeze.
Usually get a few groans about how far it is to walk but even Hayley enjoyed it.
I will be sat at home reading trip reports with envy while i recover from my operation tomorrow! :(
Unless it pours with rain for a fortnight hehehe :D :D
