Another Sunday with a less than brilliant forecast. Where to ? Doogz brought five maps, so it was either Left or Right at Crianlarach :lol: We followed the path of least cloudiness and ended up at Bridge of Orchy. It was reasonable to start with, some cloud over the top as we four headed upward. The way up gave rise to some delayering as the temp was not that cold and the concerted effort we were putting in resulted in some profuse sweating :lol: A very dry path, which I had never seen on this walk before- usually bog,bog and more bog, so fine conditions underfoot spurred us on.

The views behind;

We ventured on and soon reached the bealach.Looks like there could be a change in conditions on the way.

Dorain first, and off up the path towards the oncoming weather. We met a couple of guys who had been out from early doors, on their way down from Dorain as we wound our way up. The usual rabble- rousing and laughter to cheers ourselves up on our journey.

A view across to better conditions;

We reached the split in the path for the two cairns and ventured on. This is where we came across 2dalmations and Ruby :wave: chatted for a bit and on to the summit. It was snowing and 'hailing' now so time to re-layer for our second target.

Back down to the bealach and the angled traverse towards the three cairns.We,again, delayered as the temp had risen when out of the wind and snow :) Above us we could see three others ahead, and then spied 2D and Ruby again. Met all the ones ahead at the first top.

A short wander and the summit taken and on towards the next top for a spot of lunch.

All said and done, an enjoyable outing in some changeable conditions.

Was indeed a mighty dry walk in comparison to its legendary boggyness...... :lol:

I hadn't done this as a double and was surprised how easy it is .....and how a supposed dull walk can be such a laugh even after 5 years of walking together

Nice report ...though my photos are much nicer :crazy: :lol: :wink:

No dogs- as there were 4 in the car and all accompanying baggage- plus Doogz was driving :lol:
You should phone the cruelty- my wife had them, and she never walks them far :(
They will be out and about soon.

Nice report. :)
I was up there myself yesterday after late start and weather was "changeable" indeed. I got snowed on umpteen times and only needed my fleece once as it was so warm...lol.
By the way I went up Dorain via the lower path that traverses round the west side of the hill and brings you back up onto the summit from the south. Anyone else tried that as I don't see it mentioned in reports. Felt a bit uneasy at some bits due to the drops but I'm probably just a big scaredy... :lol:
