The Mighty Meikle Bin

Up and doon the Walkhighlands route No map for this area but marker cairns on the track. A great wee walk and a busy wee hill. Good to have a chilled day on the hills chatting to fellow walkers and had a nice 30 min lunch break at the summit.

Ah lovely,,,only been up Meikle Bin once,,,and was small enough at that time to finish it on my dads shoulders. I see it peeking over the Campsies at me every day,,must get myself up there again. GillC

I never saw anything so not sure. One thing though that 777 looked very close to the summit, just wished we'd hung around for another 5 minutes

Its still there,good report by the way,a cracking walk this one,done it many times.

Thought it might be, but despite having walked all over the Campsies for the past few years it has been near 40 years since I was on the Bin.

My wife and me were on Meikle Bin on Saturday this is us standing by the bit of airplane just off the top, been up their 6 or 7 times and its the first time we have seen this, there is supposed to be an engine block as well dont know where,anyway we had a nice easy day took our time blethered to everybody, had our tea at the pile of logs before going up and again on the way back, all in it took us 4 hours but at our age thats fine.
