A trek up Ben A'n then extended hill walk west to take in part of Loch Katrine.
- Jesper on Ben A'an top with Loch Katrine as a backdrop.
Jesper and I enjoyed a very pleasant climb and walk with stunning views of the Trossachs.
- Maybe nearby Ben Venue would have been more of a challenge,
Nice to go beyond the Ben to strike out on your own.
- En route to the loch we came across this primeval scene, is that a head at the foot of the tree ?
After the peace and quiet of the trek a big shock when reaching the lochside peninsular at Ruinn Dubh Aird, people in a golf buggy dressed in Sunday best taking in the view, compensated by passing a 'very' elderly couple suitably dressed in good hill walking gear assisting each other to the lochside, I bet they have clocked up some miles and had some experiences in their time.
