I'd been thinking about this one for a while, i'd always had intentions of doing it from the more frequently taken Glen Lochay route, but i'd pencilled in Meall Buidhe for this day too and it meant an easier drive between hills.
I was the lone car when i parked up by the bridge just before Cashlie power station. I'd actually ended up here last summer when i took a wrong turn and set off on what i thought was Stuchd an Lochain! Doh!
I had a route laid out in my gps, but the estate information boards suggested a different, more appealing path up so i took that route.
Pretty much a case of heading across the bridge and straight up. There's a new fence running up and across the hillside, no stiles but there's a handy gate.
As you continue up round the side of Creag Loaghain there's an obvious waterfall that you can follow for a reasonable way up through this steep section. Some boggy ground after this but ti's straightforward up to the summit.

- Tempted to pop across to bag the Corbett Beinn nan Oighreag, but too much ascent and descent across the Lairig Luaidhe when i still had another Munro to do
A far shorter route than that from Glen Lochay, but with two months away from proper hills and too much beer i think my time shows how much i toiled!
