Doogz and I had arranged to leave early for the drive up, we were both champing at the bit for this one. Spent a little time finding the start,even though I had been in Roshven on holiday the year before last :roll:
It was hot, climbed over the closed gate and set off up the track.

We encountered some wild goats on the path as we looked for the start of the walk up the Alisary Burn. There are two brown sheds at the end, and a deer fence running off to the side. A kind lady and her daughter pointed the start of the route for us :clap:
Through the forest up the steep track, even in this weather there are places that are still boggy.

The view behind;

We eventually came out the forest at a rather large waterfall- oh how we wished we could jump in 8) By now it was 'stewing' hot, but the goats from earlier weren't phased by the heat.

A very useful wall pointed us in the right direction. The going was tough indeed, we stopped frequently to drink plenty and take what shade we came across. Further up we decide to break off and head directly for An Stac- it would provide us with plenty of shade, well at least for a little time anyway.

Took this on the way down- our route headed up the grassy rake under the slabs, hang right and up;

We came across a nest with eggs- skylark ? as we traversed up towards the rake.

Shade at last, this walk certainly had a degree of difficulty about it- hope it would be worth it ? The route up, at times, had us both with four points of contact :) It took us what seemed like an age, but we made it.

Our next targets;

There is definately a steep descent off An Stac, but we managed fine with the aid of our new friend- a fine cooling breeze :lol:

We dropped our backpacks are with renewed vigour set off up Sgurr na Ba Glaise, with just cameras and water. A wonderful summit.

Sat about for a time enjoying the views. A few more drinks and back to the bealach for the last Corbett of the day.

A truly fantastic day, hard going in the heat- but totally worth it :thumbup: A short report, as I'm knackered, bet Doogz is sleeping on the couch by now as it must have taken it's toll on him- walking and driving. Cheers mate :clap:

Some interesting terrain features and the views are fantastic :thumbup: Haven't actually seen any wild goats yet even though I've been in areas where they're often present. Certainly looks hot but I guess it makes a pleasant change - cheers :D

We actually met the goats parents- The big-horned billy had his beady eye on us. No wonder they used goats for Devil worship- looked pretty Satanic :shock: :lol: I'm a faster runner than Doogz, so I don't know what it would have done to him :wink: :lol:

You boys are fairly getting about at the moment. Some stunning pics too. Love the ones of the lochs. Tortured this weekend as committed to other things and couldn't get out (except a wee jaunt up Dumyat for fitness). Hoping to do a wee Donald close by tomorrow that has been on the list for a while. Will be after work so hopefully some clearer pics when the haze burns off.
