Weather fantastic all day, loads out on the hills camping and walking, met folk from Holland, Shetland,England and Scots of course was told they were some other Irish about too but didnt bump into them. Another 4 off the list, but was tough going with the heat and wasnt expecting Lairg Ghru to be so bouldry, thought I was getting a path for my walk back, good to see source of River Dee too. Few photo's of the tops.

Yeah Jonny felt it at the end, think that was the hottest I have walked in yet.

Gammy hope to be out this Friday, have the Tuesday off too, so weather depending head back into Linn of Dee

Good walk Alan but would look for some other way off Braeriach, maybe back the way I came or opposite Ben Macdui, walk back through Lairg Ghru I found tough, but could have being out in that heat all day.

Good walk Alan but would look for some other way off Braeriach, maybe back the way I came or opposite Ben Macdui, walk back through Lairg Ghru I found tough, but could have being out in that heat all day.

When we went up Braeriach last year (http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12789) we went up northwest from the Garbh Coire Refuge, up the steep rocky and heathery slopes to the West Buttress. It was tiring and because of the terrain I think it would be easier to ascend rather than descend those slopes, but it's more direct than going via Sron na Lairig.

Wow bit of a climb that, dont think I'd try to decend it. Unless seen someone else go first

Still a fair walk from Cairngorm, found it steep walking off part of it

Tommy I prob try this way but I was looking up at it from Larig Ghru so not sure how steep it is from top.
I came down at Pools of Dee that was steep but looked steeper looking up at it .
