Your Inspirational Pictures

Postby webbie88 » Tue Jun 05, 2012 10:13 pm

There are all times when we cant make it to the hills or to our favourite quiet spot, and its time like these when we look at old pictures from different trips we have had.

So this thread is for everyone to post up the one picture that inspires them or just makes you smile :D

for me it is

I've even got a print of this one in my bathroom! It's the view west from Mayar.

Last July a friend of mine managed to get me across the Aonach Eagach which was a super day out. But my favourite shots of the day were taken on the way home after rehydration in the Clachaig:

Last week during the spell of excellent weather I was lucky enough to spend the night on the small plateau just beyond Beinn Tarsuinn's summit in Fisherfields. I reckon I probably had one of the most inspiring views in the UK. Nothing better than waking up at 880 metres to see An Teallach at the other end of the Ghleann na Muice. :D

There are so many places that inspire me, but, choosing one it has to be the Cuillin from Elgol :D

An inspiration - for me it is always Beinn Eighe. I know, I'm beginning to sound boring   But it's a mountain of many faces...

A picture Doogz took of me on the Trig Point of Beinn Fhada. Probably not the best of pictures, but the best of memories 8) My 200th Munro and his 150th.
Ask him and he will tell you I took off like a scolded cat up the icy slope, head down- summit fever   Drove us both on for compleation, still talk about that day even now- to be be repeated :)
