Air Dis Athairne a seo ...... So this Saturday we headed into Braigh Albainn to collect Meall Corranaich, Meall Coire Leithe and Beinn Glas which Mrs Colla did not want to do when we did Beinn Lawyers on the wettest ,windiest october day in living memory.

He wanted to go on strike again ,partly because of being leashed due to hte copious amounts of Sheep and Lambs on these mist covered mountains

A slight deviation due to following my bearing due North and slightly West (forgot to bear East) took me down into Coire Glas which turned out to lose me only 10mins as i emerged out the ceo just under the Bealach on Meall A Coire Lithe

And the weather

hahaha your getting the general theme here ,we exited down onto Loch lairge with a half thought to include Tarmachan but ach the weather was more akin to a wet Winters day so we just headed back to the car for 2pm

That was a very committed walk. You never missed anything by omitting Meall an Tarmachan. I was on there on saturday and my early optomism was quashed when I took a battering once on the ridge towards the summit. I hung around in a sheltered bowl below the summit for a while but on my way down the wind was so strong it was hard to stay upright.

bungle wrote:Summer is marked by the hours of daylight, nothing more. This year summer is the same as any. I have not been beyond Scotland or the Dales for some months and am as brown as a berry. When people ask me where I have been, I say "outside", obviously not when it is siling down though! Enjoy the beauty - you won't be here for ever! Bungle!

haha tha fhios agam ... I know i work outside for a living in the Gaidhealtachd ...brown don't cover my skin tone :D

Summer is never the same in the Gaidhealtachd but weather ,climate is becoming indefinable the patterns is gone, still the beauty is as ever
