The walk includes the 2nd and 6th highest Munros. Spectacular views from the ridge between Ben Macdui and Cairn Gorm peaks - although the view from Ben Macdui was non-existent because of the weather - freezing rain and high winds and low cloud. We were unprepared for the extreme weather and were very cold on the Ben Macdui ascent, but had warmed up some by the top of Cairn Gorm, as it was clear but windy. Best to follow the route on Walk Highlands - out to Macdui first followed by Cairn Gorm and then the track down to the ski centre. Great walk.
