This all looks very familiar, Rockhopper. I walked this route on Monday - following in your footsteps (more or less)! You've captured it all really well - great pictures and a tale well told. It looks a lot frostier in your pictures on Stob Coire nan Lochan than in mine - you must have been up there quite early. By the way, to leave the lost valley, the path ascends on the right just before the big boulders - but I still agree that it would be hard to get cattle up there (maybe they could scramble in those days! ).

PS did you see the wee"howf" on your way to Stob Coire nan Lochan.

I remembered reading your report gammy and had a look but didn't see it - knowing me, I was probably looking straight at it and still missed it

Think they'd come up the lost valley and Stob Coire Sgreamhach was their first of the day - I met quite a few more also ascending the red scree track.

Excellent report, and lovely photos ! I'm jealous of the weather and the views you got, though - I did these two yesterday in the Clag. I'll no doubt put a wee Walk Report in, but my photos are largely of various bits of rock looming vaguely through the mist ... . Still and all, they are a great pair of hills .
