An early start today at 7am and the suns out and looking like it gona be another great day ,perfect for my first outing in Torridon.Looking at a few reports before I set off I thought this would be a good challenge for me and my sister with no real difficulties.
The going is fairly steep but steady all the way to the first summit. With the heat building up I thought it was going to be a tough day .Even though its only 6.25 miles its a strenuous traverse although nothing that wasn't within our capabilities.

We arrived at the summit of Tom na Gruagaich at 9pm after 2 hours of walking and plenty of photo stops.

After spending around 20 minutes absorbing the amazing views in every direction it was time to get a move on to the next summit.The only downfall of the views was the haze and not getting the views over to Skye however I'm not that bothered as I've had so many days with no views at all I can't complain.
The scrambly bits down from here to the bealach are fairly simple and presented no real problems.

Once arrived at the summit of Sgurr Mor an hour after we left the last the challenge of The Horns was more real and they looked pretty intimidating from here but surely it can;t be harder than Sgur Mhic Chonnich on Skye but here goes.

The Horns turn out to be a really nice scramble very enjoyable with nothing difficult the third horn is better to follow the path to the right and then accend up the side .My sister had only done Ben Lomond an Ben Vane and she managed no hassles at all .
The decent from here was also scrambly but in no time we were down to the path and it was a lovely walk out with great view looking back to what was my best day in the hills yet and cannot wait to get back here again.

Before climbing Ben Mor Coigach, Alligin was my favourite mountain- with your photos I now remember why A splendid day you had for such a Torridian gem

Thanks folks looking back at the photos makes me want to go back again this weekend and tackle Liathach . Can't see the weather being as good as last weekend though.
