malky_c wrote:Stunning day to be in Fisherfield 8) . Sounds like a hard day for everyone. I agree with others who say these are better done in 2's and 3's. You can come in from Lochivraon, Incheril or Poolewe to see more of the area.

I ended up doing the same as you, but in February. Walked in Friday night, planned to do all 6 the next day and walk back out. In the end my mate drunk too many G&T's (his fault for picking such a shite drink  ) and we never got going early enough the next day. Scree finished us off on Sgurr Ban and we ended up walking back to the bothy in the dark. Had to stay a second night with no booze left :?

Cheers malky, always good to get some coments from someone a experienced as your good self, that scree/boulder field was the worst I have ever seen,as for coming from Lochivoran,Incheril or Poolewe, all sound a good idea, but you know what,I now have an itch that needs scratched.

Don't think Ive done anything that compares to your day, so well done and good on you for making the right decision.
Hope the "bothy life" made up for your worries on the evening, can't be anything worse when you feel powerless.
Glad everyone enjoyed their day and all are ok.
Cracking photos, like the new look

Great effort GLW.

I remember that boulder field well. It was my our 5th of the FF and we had heavy weights on our backs as carrying all our gear.

You know what to expect next time so it should be no bother, the hills will still be there.

It truly is an amazing area.
