Anyone interested in doing this? Might be handy with two cars, having done South Ridge yesterday without a car I can testify as to the length of the road back!

Looking at camping either Sat or Sun night, depending on 7 day forecast. Can anyone recommend camp sites nearby?

Sheil Bridge campsite, about as handy as there is. Just by the service station. They are very good if you turn up late then just pay at the garage the following morning. Make sure and take your midge net, its particularly bad at this location.

There are plenty of places to wild camp nearby.. My favourite spot is just near the Kintail Lodge Hotel. If you drive down Glen Shiel, past Shiel bridge, you pass the hotel on your left, go through a cutting where they have blasted through for the road, immediately on your left there is an unmarked road.. About a hundred yards down there is ample parking, camping and a stream for water
I was thinking about leaving my tent up there when I do the sisters, and getting the bus back to my car the following day. :)

Yeah that sounds good, I haven't wild camped since March :)

I will have a wee look at the map, I noticed a couple of spots further up the road along the lochside so that might be an idea too.

Well I wouldn't exactly call it wild camping.. next to the car, within walking distance of a hotel...

The advantage of this spot above all the other little niches around the area, is its right on the beach, so there is usually more of a breeze and less of the dreaded midges :D

Anywhere without an ensuite and a nice bar is 'wild camping' in my book ha ha.

Forecast for Sunday is looking good so far. Having said that, I will now have jinxed my plans!
