We cycled to the Bothy on the Wednesday evening, arriving just before 10pm and were the only ones there so chose the small middle room as it had floorboards rather than concrete flooring. I slept not too bad but Kim had a restless night as it was her first time in a bothy and in the morning was not feeling her usual self. After getting eaten alive by the midge made our way back to the track then walked up it before leaving it to climb the slopes of the Corbett. Kim had little energy and was struggling, so i asked if she was still wanting to continue to Gulvain to which she replied "yes". We then made our way down the steep slopes of Meall a' Phubuill and over to climb Gulvains ridge. We had a few stops for refreshments before we got to the summit. It was my intention to also climb the Graham on our way back to the bikes but Kim quickly knocked this on the head but she did invite me to climb it but i was happy to leave it for another day. When we got off Gulvain we picked up the track back to the bikes and had an easy cycle back to Fassfern. On our cycle back we spotted a nice bit in the river for a dook so we returned the gear to the car, grabbed a towel and flipflops and cycled back up to cool down in the river for a bit. From the Bothy and back to Fassfern was 9hrs.
