Awesome. I was up there last week, my first time that far North. This area is amazing. We did An Teallach and saw 2 people in 8 hours, both of them miles away. Also went up Stac Pollaidh and nearly got blown off the top but had incredible views and wild camped on one of the beaches afterwards. Very glad I've discovered this place. And your photos are loads better than my blind pointing and shooting :D

BlackPanther wrote:Fantastic. Assynt mountains have that special "something". I love this area, too :D :D but I'm running out of hills to climb here, did Ben More Coigach last week and now it's just Beinn an Eoin and the very far north ones left (Arkle, Foinaven etc.). Will have to start re-doing them which is not a problem. Suilven alone is a mountain to visit more than once.
You're lucky to have been born in May, Doot, my b'day is in November   Every year I climb my "birthday gift" hill but weather hasn't always been good... Usually, it's wet, cold and windy.
You gitta change your birthday BP. I've actually still many mountains to do in the area, always get caught up doing other stuff. Your correct, Suilven always worth another visit.

Aye, those where the days eh Rockhopper...long gone but never forgotten.

Thanks to everyone else for the kind comments...its ana amazing area, even when raining.

Great stuff Dooterbang!

As others have said, its a favourite for so many folk. I'm lucky to be just a few hours away, and whatever the weather the area never disappoints whether on the hill, on the sea or taking pictures

Here's to the next visit!

Kind Regards

Ian
