Last Saturday about 8.00am, thick morning cloud followed the A82 as we drove through Bridge of Orchy. We could almost see up through the mists making out Beinn an Dothaidh and it had been clear just a few miles back north of Tyndrum where the usual treat of views towards Beinn Dorain had made the early drive all so worthwhile. By the end of Loch Tulla by the farmroad end into Achallader what a mighty view to the west :D :D :D

There is a new carpark now just 200-300 metres away from the main road that slightly alters the route to that shown on walkhighlands, particularly at the end of the day if walking clockwise as a new path links back to the cars from just below the railway line.

Below the line to Fort William. Hadn't been on this since a new year trip on the train from Glasgow to Mallaig many years ago. Had to watch my head here and never had my helmet :)

Beinn Achaladair from the northeast looking very grand indeed! Our second summit planned for the day.

Back over Meall Buidhe towards Beinn a Chreachain a lovely linking walk on a day such as this. Rewarding views in all directions :)

From near the summit, and be aware, there are two summits cairns here about 150 metres apart. Don't miss the first one.

Back down to the railway line level after a serious bog-trot down from below Beinn an Dothaidh, be prepared for this, it's wet and dirty!

Beinn a' Chreachain and Beinn Achalader did not disappoint and infact well exceeded expectations. These are two mighty fine munros! :D :D :D
Bog-trot at the end

Great to see these hills in good weather - brings back memories from nearly two years ago for me of something I'll never forget :silent: Interesting to hear about the car park being relocated - cheers :)

Love the pictures Bod! I'm heading out tomorrow to camp near the base of Beinn Mhanach before aiming to do all five Orchil munros on Saturday and these shots have really got me in the mood. Hopefully the 60% clear munro tops forecasted comes off.
