Still trying to pluck up the courage to get the tent out in winter. Was going to have a go this weekend but weather and other things have conspired against me (reckon I would've found an excuse to cry off even in perfect conditions though) .

I know the feeling! I had the option of staying for another night but my excuse for not doing was that there was a wee bit of cloud and 20mph winds coming in the following day - shame on me... (I heard it reached -12C that night though, so I'm pretty glad I didn't stick it out.)

Aye, I couldn't quite believe the forecast when I saw it - particularly considering that (probably true) myth about Knoydart being the wettest place in Britain.
