From the Allt Mhoille bridge we took the private road W of Castles Farm to the hydro road leading up to the head of Glen Noe, it was a lovely morning but the hilltops were hidden in the mist, peeking through every now & then as we made our way up the path, @ about 350m we turned right onto another path for about 100m &
then left the path to climb steeply up the SE rib of Beinn a' Chocuill to reach the summit, it was still very misty @ the summit,so the views werent great, but as we made our way back along the E end of the ridge towards Beinn Eunaich it started to move away providing us with some good photo opportunities
.
The ridge drops to a high bealach then onto the steep shoulder of Beinn Eunaich, it was @ this point cramp started to kick in
it was painful i can tell you & i wasnt sure if i would be able to make it any further but soldier on i did, through the pain barrier & onto the cairn @ Ben Eunaich
.It was worth the pain
the views from here were amazing, some great pix, a much needed rest & a bite to eat before heading back down over Stob Maol in the sunshine & some great views of Kilchurn castle, before hitting the Drovers Inn for a well deserved pint with my first two Munros in the bag & the cramp gone..happy days!
