Nice one pigeon (and Gav). I pulled out of an attempt at this route a couple of years ago after starting off heading for Stacath on the other side of the river and almost drowning in the bog! :o

Nice photos - especially like the one looking down the loch. Although weather-wise, if that's a good day, your standards must be low!

Jeezo Pigeon that's a lot of snow!

Is that deer really angry? It looks like steam coming out of its antler

PS did Gavin bring any tablet? :D

Good effort pigeon  From your photos that looks the sort of day where I sometimes feel inclined to head back to the car, rather than keep going  Agree with the comment on the Loch Voil picture. Looks a cracker :D

Looks like you got out just in time ahead of the current batch of wind and rain  Maybe not that great here either but at least you did get a nice view down the loch - happy new year to you both - cheers :)

That looked a really good day out to me and I particularly liked the shot of Loch Voil. It's a strange route past the "sensitive deer" as you break out over the fences!

Nice report. :D

Cheers Cuillin,no sure what the deal is with that private deer farm,Gavin says it closed a few years back but there were still deer roamin' about in there,a good way to avoid the worst of the bogs and the river crossing though
