Good day compared to our last 3 trips,no rain,winds not too strong and at least some views of the surrounding hills,reasonable ground conditions as well.Just me and Gavin on this one.

Nice one pigeon (and Gav). I pulled out of an attempt at this route a couple of years ago after starting off heading for Stacath on the other side of the river and almost drowning in the bog!

Thanks for the replies folks,sorry for the delayed reply,i've been awa'. The pics don't really make it look a good day but compared to the last few horrors it was actually no bad,a good round this ,no sure why it's so unpopular.Happy new year to all walkhighlanders and here's hoping for better weather this year

That looked a really good day out to me and I particularly liked the shot of Loch Voil. It's a strange route past the "sensitive deer" as you break out over the fences!

Cheers Cuillin,no sure what the deal is with that private deer farm,Gavin says it closed a few years back but there were still deer roamin' about in there,a good way to avoid the worst of the bogs and the river crossing though
