Just a short walk to Hill of Millmedden (Correen Hills) above home to watch the last sunset of 2012. Wherever the sun set on the old year for you, have a healthy and happy 2013.....

Happy New Year!

Kind regards

Ian

Happy New Year to you too Ian, great sunset you had by the way. Too cloudy and grey down here :-(

Hope you don't mind my last sunset of 2012.

I had a short walk up 2 subs in Morayshire, Little Conval and Meikle Conval. This snap was taken as I left Meikle Conval summit, looking towards Ben Rinnes.

Happy New Year everyone, wish you all the best for 2013.

Thanks skuk and lochlaggan - a very happy 2013 to you both.

Hi Giles - we must have been just about looking at each other on Hogmanay! When I got to the top of Hill of Millmedden I thought that the sunset wouldn't be anything but a pale, grey affair. Looking west though, the cloud was clearing at just the right speed to give that great sunset - I'm just sorry I didn't hang around for the pink cloud which followed on but by that time I was more than a little chilly in that northwesterly...

Kind regards

Ian

Hi Ian, yeah I didn't want to hang about either in the cold blast, I had to get back home for a dram or 2!

I did try and get a snap of the pink sky looking at Meikle Conval at the end of the walk.

And this one was about 20 minutes after sunset....

Just a short walk round my home patch in East Calder.
