Today was family "stuff" and I got dirty looks for staring out the window and pointing out how nice a day it was (apparently the other half interpreted my body language as "I wish I was out walking rather than being stuck here with you lot" - as if!).
As you say, looks like a good winter walk. Looking at the map I'm thinking East Wirren - Hill of Wirren - West Wirren then down to the right of way and back by Tillybardine??
Hope you had a good New Year!!!
Know what you mean about dirty looks
That's why I decided to cut it short, to keep in the good books, hoping to get out again on Thursday, forecast not bad. That would make a good day as you suggest starting East Wirren and over the Hill to West Wirren, there also seems to be a lot of additional tracks on the hills and the Tillybardine point would tie in with the Right of Way over to Tarfside. Not sure how easily it is to cross the West Water when you are heading up to the East Wirren or if indeed there are many parking areas apart from the one I used. Have a good New Year, and may see you on the hills sometime.
