Foggy express - claggity clag claggity clag, no it wasn't that bad really.
Although there was low cloud and mist the tops of the hills came and went in vision which precluded the need for any serious navigation but it did obscure what would have been great panoramic vistas all dressed in white

3 guys in the car park were walking into Coir' Eilde to find some ice to climb, much rather them than me after Saturday's tragic events.

Lots of spin drift snow being blown about, strange really the wind was strongest around the bealach area and not on the tops although it was still windy there. The path even though covered in new soft snow was really good with lots of rock steps (like climbing into Mordor). Which one to do first Eni, meeni, mini mo.

When exposed to the wind the windchill was fierce even the sweat inside my berghaus jacket froze

Top of ridge in flat light made picking out where previous walkers had compacted the snow difficult so it was hop along time, one firm foot fall followed by one soft one.

On the way down from the bealach it was like being on another mountain, silence - no wind and just the patter of powder snow on the jacket.

Matches the wife's Hunter wellies but they are too small for my plates of meet

Didn't stop except for photos, had a snickers bar which was like eating a stick of rock - break a bit off and gum it to death

Thanks Gav, first time not playing catch for a while, pity my camera wasn't bright purple as well may not have lost it then.

Nice one! Don't be like me and get stuck on 98 for what seemed like an eternity. Come to think of it, now I've been stuck on 140 for an eternity. Hey ho, no rush I guess! :D

Worried now, after Fridays bad weather decided to stay close to home and only ventured in the Ochil hills. Still a good training walk in deep snow.
