The Plan was to do the great slab in winter conditions to practice the skills that I had learn't on the course in scotland. When we got to the climber traverse it looked impassable So I decided to go to the top and climb down and then back up again. At the top there were big cracks in the snow pack so I decided it was unsafe to do. Later on the walk we saw avalanche debris so I'm glad a gave it a miss. Didn't get to practice my winter skills on the hill but the avalanche theory came in very handy and may have already kept me from a sticky situation.

Great shots Chris, and in light of recent events being cautious of potential avalanche areas is absolutely sensible, come to think of it being cautious of potential avalanche areas is absolutely sensible at any time
