After a week full of stunning weather, I was looking forward to a Saturday in the hills. However by Friday night we were down to 30% cloud free, and the need to drive at lease up to Fort William to get it. But our (I was not on my own for the first time) hearts sank, during the 3 hour drive from Kilmarnock with low cloud, and a hint of rain.

Amazingly as we got out the car in Glen Nevis, there was the first patch of blue sky, and it was a perfect day from then on. It was a delight to meet a series of beaming faces throughout the circuit, on a day that you feel happy to be alive, and lucky to live in Scotland.

The video and photos say the rest....

Superb Bruce, love your videos. Looks like a cracking day was had. Was it a deliberate attempt to draw Scooby Doo with your route?

Excellent pictures there. Do you use a DSLR for both video and pictures?

I use 3 cameras. A £70 kodak playsport for some of the video, and the underwater stuff, as it's completely waterproof. It hangs off my rucksack strap, so its easy to grab for a quick shot. But the stills it takes are naff.

The panorama shots here are on an iphone5, which I also used for some of the video. It's quality is amazing, but until I get a better case, it's for nice weather only.

The rest of the video, especially the timelapse stuff is on a Canon 7D. It's tough enough to leave filming on a rock for 5 mins! All the other photos are with the Canon.

Thanks, I enjoy making the Videos, so it's great to hear that other people like watching them.
