Black Mount & Goseland Hill, 2 short Subs.

Walked Black Mount from Walston, parking just as i arrive in the little Hamlet. Took the public right of way path through the grounds of the houses, where a sign warned of dogs running loose, didn't see any but plenty of horses here and muddy ground. Left the path after a few minutes to make my way up to Black Mount. A path follows the fenceline most of the way up. I returned down by Chalybeate Well and a five minute road walk back to the car. 50 mins for this walk. Drove to Biggar next to go up Goseland Hill. Parking was a problem on the road as planned to do the walk from Burnfoot farm but no paking available nor was there any at Bamflatt so kept driving then saw a spot at entrance to Cleuch Cottage so parked up. Walked through the field and up to the summit, returning the same way. One of the highlights was a low flying Hercules. 40 mins for this one with a wee break at the summit.

If JC didn't I would have Couldn't be bothered after 3 other Sub2000's that day though. Incidentally I was planning the even shorter route from the south, there is a decent amount of parking at NT072344.

Aye need to splash on a better camera Hills, missed an opportunity of a good photo of the Herc when it came back and did a turnaround but too slow with the camera. Thanks Rod, you're doing not too bad yourself. Mountain Thyme, what are Munros again
