Here are a few short videos from the fast boat journey from Inverie to Skiary (not particularly good quality I'm afraid):

I hope the pictures don't encourage everyone to visit Knoydart all at once and overcrowd it... ah, no, the midges will probably stop that! :D

Fantastic 8)
Must get myself to Knoydart. Planned an overnighter once but poor weather meant a change of plan. I must get there!

Nice one GT. Agree with all, a great report with cracking pictures. Have managed 3 visits and can't wait for my next return to pints and guitar thrashing in my favourite pub

Absolutely superb report and pictures :D Particularly loved the photo of the stag, but then all the photos were superb. This area has evaded me so far, but seeing your report and pictures I can't wait to get in there :D

Hopefully I'll be returning next year and staying in Inverie - then I'll be able to see the Old Forge in its element, in the evenings!

It was really quiet when we were there for lunch, and I was driving so couldn't sample the real ale!

I saw the guitars hanging up and drum (bodhran?) on the window sill...

Thanks :D I hope that it's equally good weather in August this year when we'll be returning to the peninsula... we're going the easy way this time, by ferry from Mallaig :D

Really well written. Are deer psychic? You fantasising about eating them and then finding a stag squaring up to you the next day...

Never seen the word "bimbled" before but it is somehow very evocative.

Hehe, yes I think they must be! :D That stag was a bit too close for comfort!

It's one of my favourite walking words... very descriptive I think!
